As you know, 12 of your 27 continuing education credits may be obtained through “independent study.” “Independent Study” is defined as a course pursued autonomously that meets the criteria in rules and includes a posttest.
Social workers in Iowa must assure the credit hours they attend will meet the Board of Social Work’s criteria for continuing education. The Board’s continuing education criteria can be found in Administrative Rules, 645-281.3.
